I NEED HELP

My Superior from my work place juz given me a task...
It's to come up with a name/theme, a design for the invitation card and games to play for a new years day party for the company. p.s. nt chinese NY
The worst thing is, it's for 100~150 working adults to attand.

please help me by giving me some ideas.

Depending on the age of the adults and the races that attend it, the theme will be different.

An all traditional theme is good, I doubt they will shell out real money if its a costume theme party but that might be considered...

Or a colour + dress code can be a good try as well...

If it were for adults.
I would strongly recommend you to use Masquerade as the theme.

With door entries/ushers handing out Venice look-a-like type of masks(Would be better if the masks were handed out before the event starts).
Making the mask's as a compulsory item to be worn. Making everyone annoymous for the upcoming games.

Example's.. i doubt m'sia/s'gpore/p'phines has such good quality masks thou. Anyway here are a few..


Maybe perhaps games that has mostly got to do with two persons.
Guy-Girl of course. not Guy-Guy as partners. lols.

This theme would mostly attract bachelors,teens,wild,wet,dry,outgoing,fun,looking-for-fun, adults.

Just a suggestion that could help you. You've got to organize the event itself yourself the way you want it anyway. Good luck .

well, i got a 2k budget
in s'pore race = mixed
hush : i dont think a bunch of office ppl will be willing to spend a ton on dress.
and last years theme was international day >.<
so i think i'll juz stick with a simple theme without having them to spend anything to attend.
was thinking of calling it 'Shokuryo' (means food in jap)
Than maybe order some jap finger food. cuz 2k isnt enuff for jap meals for 150 ppl...
what do u guys think?

the term of spending money on costumes/dress doesnt really exist in the Masquerade theme.
the theme that i gave you would simply allow anyone to just wear their formal "work" clothing as off a Long sleeve shirt top up with a coat if better. And just a normal decent dress for the ladies which they can pick from their wardrobe.
Im not saying dresses which look like Granado Espada elementalist wears. haha. the mask's are the important thing to the theme thats all. hence thats why its called a Masquerade.

For cheap food budget, you can go all on Pizza's,Pasta's,Nacho Chips,Fries. Decent spending if u only had 2k. Cant ask for higher class food it will blow your budget. And not to mention the cuisine suits the theme since its based a little on the italian side.

well, it's a gatherin for ppl to eat i think spending 1 to 2k on chip will flood the whole place with it. haha

I honestly doubt u can feed 100-150pax with 2k as budget for japanese cuisine. I'm not sure if s'pore sell's sushi's as cheap as they do it in m'sia. M'sia they have sushi's in Jusco supermarket they sell it like RM2 bux per Ebiko Sushi.

Meaning if you had 2k as a budget, you could only buy 800 pieces of RM2-Sushi's with an entire cost of $1600. Leaving you with $400 to buy beverages. lol with 800 pieces of sushi's that would mean each person will only get to eat 5-6 pieces. Not quite reasonable as a food for thought ^^

*Calculations and price based on M'sian currency. As for S'pore i doubt it will be that cheap.

why not ask those that are attending to fork out $5-$10 ..
with 100 pax u could get extra $500-$1000.

for some grumpy ppl working in the office i dont think i will even ask

drive down to Johor to get your resources.. i guess you could get more things in Quantity wise if your had that $2000sgd converted into RM4000 lols..

after all its just another suggestion ahaha..

i found a cater that provides stuff like free transport, table and stuff like that. for $10 per pax i get to pick 12dishes + 1 drink.

Meaning i got $500 to deco the place. =)

Now i need to come up with a name and a invitation card...
